Dr. Tanveer Ahmad is an alumnus from the premier Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh from where he did his Masters in Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery. He is also a holder of Diplomate in National Board in Cardiothoracic Surgery from National Board of Examination, New Delhi, India.
He did his Masters in General Surgery from the Aligarh Muslim University and MBBS from the Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute.
He has done fellowship in Advanced Cardiac Surgery from the reputed Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia and an advanced fellowship in Heart-Lung Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support (Artificial Heart- Ventricular Assist Device) from the University of Alberta, Canada.
In his surgical experience panning a decade, He has performed more than 1500 heart-lung surgeries, which include bypass, valves, aortic, thoracic, lungs and congenital operations. His area of interest includes Heart-Lung Transplantation, Ventricular assist devices and Minimally invasive cardiac surgeries.
He has been a speaker at many international and national conferences and has attended multiple international workshops. He has more than 20 publications in International and national journals to his credit.
