Dr. Venkata Ramana Koduru has done Cardiothoracic training during 1993-1995 from the prestigious NIMS Hospital,Hyderabad,India and worked as an Asst. professor for six years. Later worked as a consultantin Apollo Hospitals,Jubilee hills and later at Apollo hospital,Kakinada, Manipal Hospitals,Vijayawada and CARE Hospital ,Hyderabad. Worked as a senior Cardiothoracic surgeon at Innova Hospitals and at Yashoda Hospitals,Secunderabad. Presently Appointed as a Senior Consultant cardiothoracic surgeon at Apollo Health City as an associate of Dr.A.G.K.Gokhale ,M.S.,M.Ch.

Registered with Andhra Medical Council, Hyderabad (No:14381) Renewed on 08-10-2014. Registration OF DNB (General surgery) ,and M.Ch(CTVS) with Andhra Medical Council ,Hyderabad ;20-10-2012 .Awarded BRIG.R.N.THAREJA Fellowship in Thoracic surgery in C.T.C., Army Hospital ,Pune in 1996.

Active in teaching M.Ch post graduates in NIMS, Hyderabad, during1996 to 2003,organizing teaching programs and journal clubs. Took part in organizing three Comprehensive Cardiac surgery workshops in NIMS during 1997-99.

Attended the EACTS Conferences in Geneva, Switzerland in 2007 and in Vienna, Austria in 2009 and attended the Global world health conferences in Chennai(2010) and Geneva (2012) and several national conferences conducted by IACTS and other medical institutes and presented several papers and attended many CME programs.

Involved in more than 8,500 Cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures and performed approximately 3,000 surgical procedures independently, including coronary bypass surgeries(both on pump and beating heart),single and double valve replacements, simple and complex congenital heart surgeries, thoracic tumors, Pulmonary resections, vascular procedures, minimally invasive surgeries and Heart Transplantation .Extensive experience in re do cardiac surgeries both in adults and pediatric patients.
