Dr. Durga Prasad received his medical degree MBBS, M.D medicine from Faculty of medicine and pharmacy, Oradea, Romania and Underwent formal internship training from Osmania General Hospital.

He completed his Anesthesia training from Navodaya medical college and Hospital and Research Institute, Rajiv Gandhi University of Sciences. He was the author of the many academic paper presentations in annual anesthesia conference.

Over past few years he has been working in the Cardiothoracic surgery, minimal access and transplant unit as an anesthesiologist with eminent anesthesia team. He gained good experience with internal jugular & pulmonary artery catheterization, temporary pacemaker management, intra-operative Transesophageal echocardiography and invasive cardiac monitoring. He is also well versed with knowledge of blind nasal intubation, fibre-optic assisted intubation, awake intubation and percutaneous dilatational tracheostomy, jet ventilation.

He also has good exposure in managing patients on mechanical circulatory devices (i.e. IABP, ECMO) support. He has also gained exposure in managing perioperative & postoperative patients of minimally invasive cardiac surgery, robotic surgery and heart and lung transplantations.

He is now working as  junior anesthesia consultant in department of cardiothoracic surgery in Apollo Hospitals Jubilee Hills.
